Happy Chinese New Year!

In view of the festive holiday, students and parents, kindly be reminded that there is no lesson with Martial House from 18 to 22 February 2015 at: 1. Hong Wen School (Indoor Sports Hall) 2. Martial House @ SAIS CNY 2015!

It was a fun and enjoyable morning at Stamford American International School as students, parents and teachers celebrated the Chinese New Year with Martial House! IMG_1180 There was a series of exciting performances ranging from Diabolo to Dragon Dance! IMG_1175 The thrilling Diabolo performance was performed by Coach Soon Long and his friend, Willis! The unique feature about the performance is that the diabolos were illuminated! IMG_1173 Following, it was the action-packed Wushu performance by: 1. Jessen Tan 2. Kingston Chua 3. Lim En Chang 4. Ng Yu Ninn 5. Koh Hao Xuan 6. Ong Pang Jan 7. Damien Teo 8. Teo Soon Long IMG_1178 The students were then entertained by the traditional lion and dragon dance! IMG_1181 It was definitely a tiring day for all performers as they had to perform 3 consecutive sessions, each session with 700 audiences! That’s a massive total outreach of 2,100 audiences! Wushu Performance @ Clementi Mall & Seletar Mall (Day 2)

Chua Xin Qi 4. Neville Cheong 5. Kevan Cheah Seletar Mall 1. Nigel Cheong 2. Koh Haoxuan 3. Olivia Yeo 4. Devin Tharunuwan Kaluarachchi 5. Ho Lin Ying The performances were well-received by the audiences! Happy Lions with ERA!

IMG_0921 Earlier today, the Martial House Happy Lions & God Of Fortune made an appearance at The ERA Home Explorer Gem Awards which was held at SCAPE! IMG_0931 The audiences were hyped up the moment the Happy Lions started dancing and when the God of Fortune made his entrance! Wushu Performance @ Clementi Mall (Day 2)

IMG_0439 It was another spectacular Wushu performance by the Martial House Stars at Clementi Mall today! The Stars who performed were: 1. Yap Wei Ren 2. Koh Jing Sen 3. Jasmine Tan 4. Ng Yu Ninn 5. Josephine Lee If you would like to catch the Martial House Stars “live” in action, do drop by either Clementi Mall or Seletar Mall on the following days at 3.30pm: a. 14 February 2015 (Saturday) b. 15 February 2015 (Sunday) In case you are confused, Martial House Stars will be performing at both locations at the same time! So do drop by the mall which is the most convenient for you! IMG_0445 You may even take a photo with the God of Fortune for good luck just like Josephine!

Martial House Exchange with the Japanese

IMG_0378 On the 5 & 6 February 2015, a group of Japanese students joined Martial House in an exchange programme. During these two days, the Japanese students got to learn more about Wushu and the Chinese Lion Dance. IMG_0379 Their day started with a Wushu performance by five Martial House Stars: 1. Samuel Tan 2. Yap Wei Ren 3. Jasmine Tan 4. Huang De Hong 5. Kevan Cheah IMG_0380 IMG_0377 Following, it was a Lion Dance performance by Pho Leng Lion Dance Instruction Centre. IMG_0376 After the performance segment, the Japanese students had an interaction session whereby they learnt basic Wushu poses and lion dance steps. Martial House is definitely looking forward to conduct more exchange sessions with both locals and foreigners to promote the traditional Chinese culture.
