During the 5 days of intense training (or 10 for some), under the guidance of the Martial House coaches, students have worked hard to improve their foundation to better execute their routines with precision and confidence. Coincidentally, the birthdays of Martial House Coaches Leo Rui Yan and Timothy Chan fall within the training week. The Martial House team took the effort to plan two separate surprises for both coaches on two separate occasions! End of Wushu Day Camp Session B!

Today marks the end of the Martial House Wushu Day Camp Session B! The 3-day camp provided new students and beginners with the platform to better understand and appreciate Wushu as a cultural art and sport through a wide range of fun and interactive activities. The camp was dynamic as students from different training locations across Singapore gathered together to learn from and with each other. The friendship forged during the three days was so strong that some students cried as they left. The camp would not be possible without the selfless dedication  from the organizing team including Martial House Coaches Seow Wei Kai, Jeremy Tan and Jessen Tan. Let’s see what some of the parents have to say about the camp:

“Kenchi enjoyed himself very much. He had learnt new things n made new friends.”

“Thank you Coach Wei Kai, you have made the camp a fun & interesting for all!”

“I believe the kids had fun and learnt many new stuff. Irvin can’t stop sharing all the stuff he had learnt.”

Martial House would like to thank the students for their active participation throughout the camp and their parents for their endless support. Do look forward to more events and activities with Martial House!

End of Martial House APEX Camp 2015!

IMG_8957 The 2nd edition of the Martial House APEX Camp has come to an end! Through the 4-day camp, campers participated in a wide range of fun and interactive activities to acquire Wushu knowledge and to hone their leadership and communication skills. IMG_8804 One of the highlights during the camp was the 7km trekking experience at the Central Catchment Nature Reserve (MacRitchie) – TreeTop Walk. It was definitely a challenging task for the young campers but they managed to persevere and motivate each other to complete the trail!  IMG_8924 Pek Yu Hao, the youngest camper recalled, “The walk was tiring but we completed (the trail) as a team! The view from bridge was so nice! We don’t get to see this everyday!” IMG_8867 After last year’s APEX Camp, many students feedback and suggested to include a night walk activity for the next camp. Hence, during the planning of the camp, the organizing team took the suggestion into consideration and eventually, made Confidence Night Walk into a reality! IMG_8927 Upon the completion of the night walk, camper Tristan Yeo said, “It was scary to walk in the dark especially when a frog suddenly jumped out in the forest! Thankfully, my buddy was there to accompany me. It was a fun experience though!” IMG_8826 During the last night on 11 December 2015, parents were invited to attend the Finale Night. Certificates were presented to campers for their active participation throughout the camp. Three campers were also presented with special awards. They are: 1.
