To provide more opportunities for our young Wushu athletes to showcase their talents and skills, Martial House organised the annual “Wushu Stars Contest” for four consecutive years since 2016. The contest was the first Wushu competition in Singapore to be held in a shopping mall. The purpose of having the contest in an open public space is to raise the awareness of Wushu among the masses so that more people will be able to better understand and appreciate the cultural sport. Over the past four editions of the contest, we have received great responses and positive feedback from participants and members of the public. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the contest was put on hold for two years.
In conjunction with the GetActive! Singapore campaign by Sport Singapore to celebrate Singapore’s 57th National Day through sports and physical activities, we are happy to bring back the much-anticipated event this year! In addition to the regular competition for our young Wushu athletes, there will be a series of hands-on activities for participants and families who are new to Wushu too! As the scale and outreach of the event will be much bigger than before, the event has been rebranded with a new name, “Wushu Stars Fiesta”!
